When the US lifted the trade embargo with Vietnam in 1993,the
stage was set for some major players in a frontier environment.
Kix interactive were commissioned to create various events templates
over that time incorporating the local talent into there performances
as well as joining together with local Vietnamese producers.
The Coca-Cola company enrolled the team to produce a series
of large scale pop events. The Roadshow was seen by hundreds
of thousand Vietnamese everywhere from The Youth Culture House
in central Saigon, Dam Sen Park, with a Christmas turnover of
100,000 a day to Maxims Nightclub, fashioned on the Paris namesake
and with an equally respected history. Heavily branded, as was
the way at the time, this colorful performance broke new ground
and forged strong cross cultural ties between the Vietnamese
audiences and the performers. Kix Interactive provided these
uplifting events with foreign singers, a team of Vietnamese
dancers, the "Steve Martin" of Vietnamese comedy and
an array of athletes and circus performers. This was a unique
time with the street awash with new televisions and refrigerators. The
same enthusiasm was brought to each and every show.
